The University of West Alabama Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition is sponsored in part by the Sumter County Fine Arts Council.  It is the goal of this exhibition to provide increased educational and aesthetic experiences for visitors and students at The University of West Alabama as well as citizens of the county and of the region.

The exhibition is a continuing showcase of outdoor sculpture by contemporary artists.  Pieces will remain for approximately 24 months with new work arriving every two years.  In conjunction with the exhibition, The University of West Alabama will display works from its permanent collection.

The sculptures are placed at sites throughout The University of West Alabama campus allowing visitors, students, and faculty casual enjoyment.  A catalog featuring reproductions of each work and a map of sculpture locations will be published biennially.
