The University of West Alabama

UWA Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition
The University of West Alabama is pleased to introduce the fifth installment of The University of West Alabama Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition.  We wish to thank the Sumter County Fine Arts Council for their generous support, as well as The University of West Alabama Physical Plant for their assistance in the installation of the sculptures.  This year we would also like to thank the Sucarnochee Folklife Festival, which will co-sponsor one of the sculptors for this exhibition.

As with each exhibition in the past, we hope to expand the viewer's knowledge and appreciation of contemporary art.  For this exhibition, we have sculptors bringing work from all parts of the country, from as far away as Maine and New Mexico, to as close to home as Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  This particular group of sculptors will provide for an exciting exhibit, each working in a wide variety of materials, from the tradition (stone, wood, and steel), to the more experimental (plastic, glass, and found objects).
